Re: Interest in Hawkbill Caribbean?

I used the sprint run orange handled Spyderhawk in SE of course nearly everyday until I got it pick pocketed during the first round of lockdowns at a local Costco. Once experiencing the cutting ease and usefulness of a hawkbill blade in full SE my other knives were seeing alot less pocket time as a ...

Re: Interest in Hawkbill Caribbean?

I have no doubt in my mind that Spyderco would be able to tweak the handle to accommodate the hawkbill shaped blade. In all actuality might be able to get that last quarter inch or so that's remaining in current models of blade to handle ratio. Almost a full 4 inches of FFG SE LC200N in hawkbill for...

Interest in Hawkbill Caribbean?

I believe that the Caribbean is highly underrated. I have the PE sheepsfoot and love it. Would be thrilled to see a hawkbill blade shape in the Caribbean frame with FFG and SE. That would be a agricultural tool for the ages. Not to mention all the maritime applications. Now if only I was rich and co...

Serrated Siren

I realize it recently became available but I'm wondering if we'll be able to get our hands on a SE version of the Siren. BTW, thank you Spyderco for more salt series cutlery.

Re: How Spyderco came out on top

I’m a huge fan of simple, low maintenance things, things I don’t have to worry about amongst all the things you do have to think about in life. The salt series of knives is one of those things for me. It’s a tool, with no maintenance other than sharpening. I think the SE Salt knives are where it’s ...

Re: Your Idea of a DREAM HAWKBILL folder?

A Tatanka based salt series SE in either FFG LC200N or standard H1 config. Microphoned dropped and out. The Tatanka model isn't a Hawkbill. I'm wondering which Hawkbill folder you would like to see ramped up with better handle material and blade steel. I'm also going to go on record as still wantin...

Folding knife as a neck knife

I've been using my dragonfly salt SE as a neck knife for awhile now attached to a metal beaded break away chain. Anybody else out there do something similar? I attach the chain around the pocket clip that way I can remove quickly and still attach to the pocket if I'd like to.

Re: Knives that changed your minds - ?

Spyderhawk- I have always appreciated the cutting power of the spyderedge, when coupled with the hawkbill blade shape, I had a whole new outlook on what a knife can do. If ever that knife had to be pulled out in a self defence situation, God forbid, just the sight of the spyderhawk would hopefully d...

Re: Just the brown SM flats

I've been fortunate enough to demonstrate the Sharpmaker's abilities to several friends and business colleagues, and several have told me that they were so impressed with how effortlessly I was able to get a sharp knife back into their hands that they ordered one themselves. I'll told them that if a...

Re: H1 SE Tatanka LW Salt Anyone???

I just want a massive hunk of serrated H1 to swing around!! :D With how popular and legendary the Pacific Salt is, I would think there would be a market for some larger H1 Salt blades like a Police LW Salt and a Tatanka LW Salt. I don't really have a desire for the non-salt G10 versions of these kn...

Steelcity, wondering if this would be made with the powerlock or regular lockback since it would be a LW variant. Really hope this knife is produced.

Re: Green salt handles

What shade of green are you looking for? I have used the Rit brand dark green powder fabric dye on my yellow Pac Salt and yellow Dfly Salt and they both turned out well, almost as dark as the british racing green seen on the Zdp-189 varieties. I used the Rit brand Kelley green powder fabric dye on ...
