Re: DLC 20CV PM2?

Received my DLT PM2 exclusive today and love it. The knife is as sharp as any Spyderco I've had out of the box. Smooth action, perfect centering and drops closed easily. As others said, it looks darker than the marketing pics, which I really like. Super fast shipping as always from DLT and Spyderco ...

Re: Favorite vendor

DLT Trading has had incredibly fast shipping when I've used them. Purchased a Para 3 LW late Friday night, and it arrived by noon on Monday with their standard shipping. Love their rewards program as well.

Blade HQ, Knife Center, GP Knives are all great dealers to use as well.

Re: Para 3 lightweight

I received my Para 3 LW today, and I am very impressed with the quality so far out of the box. Centering is almost spot on, absolutely no blade play, lockup is early and tight. My knife easily flicks open and drops closed, which I didn't expect right away. Neither of the two Native 5's I've had did ...

Re: CBBL vs Compression Lock: Which Action is More Satisfying When Broken/Dialed In

i agree that it takes more dexterity and it can be more difficult to fold the manix. i think i still prefer it. almost certainly, anyone that is left handed will prefer the cbbl. the comp lock is only slightly more fun to play with in my opinion, but it's way easier to take apart and clean up. and ...

Re: CBBL vs Compression Lock: Which Action is More Satisfying When Broken/Dialed In

I think I'm going to have to play with them side by side a bit and see if I revise my opinion. Are you wearing gloves? In winter I find the comp lock tab tricky to hit sometimes, and have a much easier time with the CBBL through gloves. No gloves needed here in the Houston area. Although it was 39 ...

Re: CBBL vs Compression Lock: Which Action is More Satisfying When Broken/Dialed In

I agree that both locks are really good. However, I prefer the compression lock. For me it's easier to close the knife with one hand using a compression lock, and if my hands are full, then that's a definite advantage for me. I think that's mostly down to what you are used to. I find it easier to c...

Re: Why the "Restricted Models" section?

You know, I'm not sure where I got that number. I'm thinking I must have read the map wrong (I think I was looking at the same link you posted). On the plus side... Automatic knives were just ok'ed by the Washington State House. Now to get it through the Senate. No worries, there is so much informa...

Re: Why the "Restricted Models" section?

Yea... but depending on the size, assisted knives and gravity knives are legal in all states. Automatic knives are illegal in about 30 states regardless of size. Between pining over things I can’t have and watching the general forum blow up with knife politics over automatics, I think I’d rather th...

Re: Favorite steel!

If I had to pick one, M390 would probably be it because it's the most well rounded steel that I have used. With that said, I do have a lot of love for Maxamet, Cru-wear, and S110V, and each has it's own purpose and application.

Re: Maintaining CTS-204P with a Sharpmaker?

As long as you're not reprofiling I think you'll be fine. While I don't have a knife in CTS-204P, I do have a number of knives in M390, which is very similar. The Sharpmaker works fine for touching up the edges on those when needed.

Re: Spyderco new FRN Lightweights: What do you think will be the best?

Asking which is the "best" is quite subjective, and all depends on the criteria set forth. However, if you are asking which will be the most successful, I know my vote is for the new Para 3 LW. The recently released Native 5 Salt is also quite appealing to me.

Re: Do you keep your Spyderco boxes?

I keep my boxes, with the thinking that if I do ever resell it that I would have the original box that it came in for the buyer. However, my wife recently made fun of me for storing a bunch of empty boxes inside of another box.

Re: Red G10 20CV Manix 2 - DLT EXCLUSIVE

I received mine earlier today, and couldn't be happier. What a great knife, and the easiest transaction from purchase to receipt of the knife (other than having to make sure I was ready to buy at 11:00 am on the day of the sale). DLT really impressed me with this one, unlike some of the other exclus...

I'd wait a few weeks and get the best of all three... the Lightweight Para 3 for $90. ;)
I agree with this also. Love the Para 3, and looking forward to seeing it as a LW.
