Re: Military 2 Discussion (Merged)

It helps if you accelerate the lock break in by just barely opening up the blade, just enough to break the detent, and then whip open the blade as hard as possible. Do this over and over and I’ve found that it helps the lock stick. Just try not to throw the knife across the room :-)

Re: Reveal 16 15V alert thread time?

Anyone getting shipping notifications from Indiana Knives? I thought it was supposed to ship out yesterday. I don’t mind waiting but just want to make sure I am actually getting a knife and don’t miss out ordering from somewhere like national knives if my order is cancelled. I can reach out but ...

Re: Military 2 Discussion (Merged)

It looks great I'm just kind of bummed that it uses the flared lanyard tube as a structural piece instead of another screw. It never seems to be the same after you take it apart that first time for cleaning.

Hopefully AWT will make some scales like the manix ones that add the additional screw at ...

AWT scales in anodized aluminum "sniper grey" color
flytanium ball cage w/ ceramic ball upgrade
mxg standard titanium clip

Looks good. What are the colours for the Flytanium cage and MXG clip?

I’m also interested in the texturing.

I might need to go with Sniper Grey!

mxg clip color is ...

That's a stunning beauty.

I’ll second that, very nicely customized! How is the texture on those scales?

the texturing is pretty nice. I would say it is subtle ...

Nice collection!
What scales/pocket clip are on the 15vM2?
Thanks! The pocket clip is the standard titanium clip from mxg. The scales are AWT anodized in sniper grey.

Re: Manix Modifications. What have you done? What do you want to do?

I just recently made a few upgrades to my 15v manix. I'm not a fan of the standard spyderco clip but I also don't like deep carry clips so I picked up the plain titanium one mentioned earlier in this thread from MXG. I really like it. I also got one for my s90v fluted CF native and a black one ...

I remember the first time trying to remove the lanyard tube from my PM2 back in the day. Yikes :winking-tongue . Granted it's a little easier to remove on the Manix, but I'm glad there's tools that exist now to help with the process. I'm too cheap for that though and designed my own pusher ...

Re: CPM 15v Manix 2

unfortunately the rain drops instantly rusted the blade and then when I went to open up a package with the blade the steel was so hard and brittle that the entire blade exploded into a fine dust
