Re: Byrd Self Protection Blade Question
Agree Sal
Guess I’m old school.
My training & life experience taught me never bring a knife to a gun fight.
But I do agree if your life is being threatened and you don’t have a firearm use whatever you can to stop the threat.
Training , Training, Training.

Re: Byrd Rust Resistance?
Excellent. I have carried a Byrd Harrier 2 out on the Atlantic Ocean fishing many times. I just rinse with some soap and warm water at the end of the day. No issues with rust or pitting.

No side is right.
Get a firearm carry permit if you really want to protect
yourself or loved ones. My knife would only come into the equation if my firearm malfunctions or my firearm is no longer in my possession.

Re: What is your all time favorite steel?
I have been loving K390 and it got a lot of EDC time until
I got a Endela in Micro Melt PD1.
Micro Melt is a great carry steel. Excellent corrosion resistance, keeps a nice edge and it’s very easy to strop to bring it back to shaving hair.
I would like to see Spyderco offer more Micro Melt PD1 ...

Re: Seki quality follow up
I have a year old Delica Wharncliffe K390 & a three week old Endela Sprint Micro Melt PD1.
Quality of both have been very good. No Blade Rock,
Edge on both were perfect, no side play & very smooth action. I would give Seki City a AAA+++
Keep up the great work !!!

Re: Micro-Melt PD#1 Burgundy Sprint Run Spydies In Stk
Been carrying the Sprint Endela the last three weeks.
Loving the Plum/Burgandy FRN. It really goes well with the black blade & black hardware.
Only had it three weeks but I’m really liking the Micro Melt PD#1. Reminds me of CruWear.
Glad I picked it up before you can only get them on eBay for ...

Re: Micro-Melt PD#1 Burgundy Sprint Run Spydies In Stk
I think a PD#1 Endela will be my next buy! The seem to be the perfect size for me.
Pocket Time Lately
1- Endela Micro Melt PD#1
2- Delica K390 Warncliffe
3- Bugout CF Elite
4- Endura VG10
I have carried Delica’s & Endura’s. For me Endela’s are the perfect EDC size knife as far a blade ...

How many sprint knives are produced for each model ?
I heard 1,200 each ?
I picked up two Sprint Endela’s during Spyderco’s two day summer sale last week. One for my son & one for myself. Love it !!

Wear it as a badge of honor.
I enjoy looking at pictures on this forum of knives that have been carried & USED.
Those knives tell a story.
Pictures of pristine knives remind me of collectors that use their cameras more then their knives.
Knives like guns are tools & are meant to be carried ...

Re: Delica, Endura, Endela BlackOut Edition
Blacked out Cruwear versions of all of these Seki models would be fantastic. Or even just TiCN coated Cruwear with a different color FRN like Foliage, OD, etc. Add the Jester, Dragonfly, and Wharnies to this list as well
I would be happy with VG10. It’s time tested & has worked
well for me the ...

Re: Delica, Endura, Endela BlackOut Edition
John,
Would a Native 5 LW blackout hold you over - https://www.spyderco.com/catalog/details/C41BBK5/Native-5-FRN-Black-Black-Blade/931 ? All black DLC and FFG like you're asking for, plus American made with a little better blade steel too.
Thanks ugaarguy. Yes I was looking at that Native ...
