I guess I just underestimated S30V. This is the first time ever using it. Maybe there’s just way to much hype surrounding super steels. And I too also believed from reading on the internet that S30V was just a industry standard steel at best. But really it seems to be more than enough for cutting th...
I’d love to hear everyone’s opinion or thoughts on this. First of all, my first Spydercos were both in S110V. And I moved over to a PM2 in S30V expecting just an OK knife. I feel like my PM2 in S30V holds a razor sharp edge as long or longer than my PM2 in S110V ever did. I am really wondering why t...

From that cut to the tip of my finger is numb, and likely always will be to an extent. To say it bled was an understatement. I ewas breaking down a large piece of car...
I’m going to try the technique on my new knife that is Inbound to my mail box. It has good ole America Made CTS-204P steel. I am excited to try it, I’ve heard great things!
So I’m getting in to quality high end OTF knives, and I just purchased my first one. I almost feel guilty that it is not a Spyderco branded knife lol. I know it may sound silly, but I’ve become partial to my PM2 I have just become very familiar with them since getting in to knives. Why has Spyderco ...
This was the first time I ever stabbed my self. And the morning after it happen, my hand hurt so severely I couldn’t even put a T-shirt on my self without experience extreme pain and discomfort. The simplest tasked turned in to one handed operation. This was by far the worst knife related injury I’v...
Someone on here said my knife was cursed, and to sell it immediately! They may be right. Check this out. This happen last Wednesday, and I accidentally stabbed my self. It bled like no bodies business, and since I can actually kinda use my hand now. I figured I’d share a current photo that I just to...
I just stropped my PM2 with my leather paddles again on the wicked edge. Clamp in, and go! The edge is definitely sharper than factory. It is slowly becoming mirror finished. And while it is scary sharp, the mirror finish is causing the edge to lose that bite that a lower grit finished edge will pro...
Obviously this is an excellent technique because you keep the factory geometry for a long time, including the nice looking tip right from Spyderco. I think 30 degrees inclusive is great on a PM2 in S30V. Unlike my S110V knives I previously owned they were much more aggressive. And they could handle ...
This method even worked on S110V for me previously. It took some extra pressure, and about 10 minutes of sweat depending on how dull the knife was. But it would bring back a razor blade for sure!
What size diamond are you using? and what angle on the WE. The 10/14 micron is excellent for this! That is what I use. I strop the edge at 1 degree less than the micro bevel or bevel is set at. So if the knife has a 20 degree touched up micro bevel from like a sharpmaker or something. 19 degrees wi...
So this is the 2nd time dulling my PM2 in S30V at work. And touching up with only diamond loaded leather paddles. The factory bevel is at 15DPS, microbevel is at 20DPS. After the knife dulls, I clamp it in my Wicked Edge and strop the edge at around 18-19 degrees and it becomes scary sharp in a matt...
My first time trying S30V, and I just love love love this all black PM2 there’s just something about it, that pictures cannot convey across a screen. “ you’ve just gotta hold it to understand” I was an S110V junkie previously, well those are long gone. I’ve got a Microtech Halo hellhound, with apoca...
