Re: Military Sprint Runs No More?

I for one would love to see a Salt version of the Military either flat ground steel would be great but am guessing the MagnaCut Mania would make this the obvious commercial choice for this sprint. How about it guys ? Why don’t we get JD to start the push for a Magnacut salt Military sprint ?

Re: C-60 Ayoob Campaign: No I Won't Shut Up

I like both the PE and the SE version a lot. If I had to choose I would go with the SE. I also have a SE second. The serrations were overground so it resembles a wavy chisel grind plain edge in a way. Also has the snaggletooth. This thing cuts incredibly well and the action is superb. JD is correct ...

Re: Military 2 Discussion (Merged)

I agree with Wartstein on this. I have carried the original C36 for so many years without any issue with the liner lock that I default to using that version...muscle memory is already programmed for it. On the other hand the Military 2 is a great feeling knife and if not using gloves or if necessary...

A fun little family set I have put together. Not sure that my favorite isn't the oldest design however they are all terrific knives.

Great thread Vivi. Serrated variant is inbound. May have to try the PE as well with your edge finish strategy. Thanks for the time you put into these threads brother!

Re: C-60 Ayoob Campaign: No I Won't Shut Up

Where are all the Cruwear Ayoobs? We rarely see anyone actually carry them on here. I picked up a Serrated Cruwear one off Bladeforums exchange that had extremely poorly ground serrations which where so bad it resembles a wavy chisel ground edge. The action is phenomenal and it cuts like a laser. U...

Re: M4 Yojumbo

The S30V DLC Yojumbo has DLC liners. The liners on US-made, black-bladed, standard-production Spyderco knives are black, but not necessarily DLC. Blades are DLC coated. Liners, clips, and other handle hardware have durable black coatings, but those coatings are appropriate to the base materials of ...

Re: M4 Yojumbo

Hey guys quick question on this subject - are the standard S30V DLC Yojumbo liners DLC or uncoated?

Obviously my new BHQ exclusive is the same as all - uncoated. Otherwise excellent quality example.

Re: M4 Yojumbo

Ordered. Going to swap scales and hardware with the carbon fiber S90V so I have a shiny green one and an all black one. Great idea @Fireman. Think I will do the same got an extra CF/S90V last holiday sales and picked up two of these to try the same project you have in mind. Should look amazing right?

Same here. Have the CF Sprint and base model but this is hard to turn down

Re: C-60 Ayoob Campaign: No I Won't Shut Up

I found that my body screws were loosening as well as clip. Consequently I applied blue loctite to the clip and body screws. Interestingly I found that the body screw tightness affected the opening action on mine. I would have thought that the pivot was the only factor on this but that was not the c...

Re: C-60 Ayoob Campaign: No I Won't Shut Up

I have to agree with JD on this point. I love that SE version wow does it cut. The PE variant is terrific as well and of course you can vary up your sharpening approach to the PE and tailor it to your needs. I reprofiled mine to 30 inclusive and sharpened it only with CBN rods deburred it and it is ...

I'm bumping this just because I'm excited. I'm not a huge fan of smooth G10 but the extreme jimping should still provide adequate grip. Plus CruWear is fantastic. And thanks AGAIN Vivi for convincing me the Manix 2 XL platform would work for me. Love it!! Just got mine in hand. In this design with ...

Re: Spyderedged Sprint Runs: About Time Isn't It?

I definitely support a sprint c36 in full SE. My old school c36 in full SE 440v is thankfully still going strong.

On a recent note I had to use my backup Lil Temperance 3 LW SE this morning while on patrol and it is quite a good performer.
