Re: Flashlights
Sadly I returned both the baton ultra and pro. I really wanted to like the ultra version but it was too much of a thrower light for me. The hot spot was nice but that’s all you got, not enough spill as I wanted. I prefer a combo beam for daily tasks.
The regular baton 4 is mostly used for ...

One of my favorite albums for quite some time in the late 2000's/early 2010's. Used to love get amped up going to shows at a local dive bar.

Re: Flashlights
The new Olight ArkPro Ultra has REALLY been tempting me to be my first flat flashlight...but I'm also really tempted by the Baton Ultra as well. I'm admittedly a sucker for a little more throw.
@RugerNurse - Have you decided between the Pro and Ultra yet, which one is the keeper!?

That looks awesome, is that dried steak ? Looks like biltong spices too
Biltong...
Essentially cured and dried raw steak. A South African favourite. ❤️
Not smoked or treated with heat like jerky.
Much better than jerky in my opinion ...
Re: Sunsets
Oh spring time, how I've missed you. Very lucky to live in a neighborhood of about 55 houses, but being on the outter loop with no homes in front of us. The field across the dead end is too wet for building, so no worry about future construction! :smiling-heart-eyes

I like that 10V Lil Native, though it looks like there's more to be desired in an already short edge. I'd sharpen that baby all the way back to maximize the cutting edge!Actinolite wrote: ↑Sat May 09, 2026 4:09 pmA walk in the woods on a warm, spring day.

I'm not normally one to get involved in these "I want" kind of threads, but here I am today still dreaming of this idea. I wonder if @sal is following this thread and could let us know if there would ever be a chance or just shoot us down now so we can stop thinking about it

Love seeing some happy pups!! We have a dog thread here fellas if you'd like to contribute!

Also, not trying to pile onto the OP, he clearly cares for his pup and it's not neglected. That much is obvious!

This was interesting to read. Stinks he's having that issue, as I've never had that with any of the (5) Shaman's I've owned over the years. I wouldn't have had a clue on how to resolve a vertical play issue.

When I bought the original HH exclusive with the red G10 scales, those fees were waived as well. Not sure if it's the same deal this many years later, but based on Kleon's post it seems to be.

Re: The EDC Gear Thread
I'm a fairly simple edc guy. Anybody paying attention to the flashlight thread knows I've taken up that hobby a bit over the past year and a half, so I have a bunch of different lights. Some that throw, some that flood, various UI's, emitters, levels of warmness/coolness. Guess it just depends what ...

You're an odd one. Bash on Spyderco one minute and the next you're obsessing over them...do you just talk so much that you forget what your actual stance is?? Quite perplexing.
