Re: Changing size comfort zone...

For awhile I would carry something like my Dragonfly or Urban, along with a PM2, Manix or more recently a Shaman. Then I came to realize, when carrying a larger knife...I pretty much never took the smaller one out of my pocket. Didn't see any reason too, as the larger knife is almost always more cap...

Re: Native 5 Lightweight Rex 45

Sitting around at KnifeCenter and DLT for such long periods of time, annoyed with myself for panic buying from St Nick's and not earning rewards points from either of the other places

Re: Native 5 Lightweight Rex 45

Not sure if this model will end up working for me, but I will say...for $112, it's a steal in this format with Rex45. $7 more than the standard version in S30V! Super lightweight, pretty thin in the pocket, great lockup with the backlock in one of the best steels around these days for just over $100.

Re: Spyderco Photo of the Week Contest!

I actually got a warning for voicing my opinion on this matter after winners were released...granted I was probably a little rude about it, we know I sometimes struggle with biting my tongue. We can only hope that Spyderco takes notice of this year and and year out and how their dedicated members/fo...

Re: Civilian/Matriarch

It's definitely a very intimidating knife. I'm known as the knife guy at work, and even some of my co-workers are weirded out by the Matriarch haha. Everyone thinks it's cool for sure as it is, but most are afraid to even handle it. When my wife surprised me with it as an early Christmas gift, I was...

Re: How are you doing today?

I may go poke around anyways, just to get away from this ever growing hunny do list! Thanks for the tips though everyone. We love mushrooms with our steaks too, as well as a chicken with cream of mushroom, rice, mushrooms dish...would be fun to substitute baby bella's with something different if pos...

Re: John Prine has passed...

I honestly never heard his music before, but when I saw this I instantly remembered an old Everclear song and album I used to like as an early teen in the mid 90's. Had to look it up, still a good tune.

Well, I guess this weekend I may go take a walk in the woods on the outskirts of my neighborhood and see if I can find any of these things!

Re: What Spyderco is in your pocket today??

After 2.5 days of work, as expected the 52100 has lost its initial screaming sharp edge. Still cuts paper, though not completely cleanly. Still more than enough working edge left. See what I can find Friday to test out its toughness.

Re: Collectibles

Still waiting for the right time/buyer for this one. When my parents moved to VA 5-6 years ago, they needed me to come to their house and take a bunch of stuff I kept there over the years because they had way more storage space. I started looking through all my old cards and came across this one. O...

Re: K390 ladybug alert thread

I want this knife because I like the color and a steel I don't have. Been messing around with my wife's VG10 version tonight, not sure if I can pull the trigger though!

Sorry to go off topic, but is the Dragonfly a guarantee in this configuration?

Typical daily cutting tasks, with the exception of helping the skeleton maintenance crew cut up some rubber to use as vibration absorbers for a couple motor bases.

I'm still working and my wife is working from home. Which is becoming dangerous in its own right...she's getting all these new ideas of projects that "we" can do around the house for home improvements :p Just today she was on our back deck working from her laptop, comes up with the idea of adding on...

Re: Civilian/Matriarch

These knives are rarely seen, pictures always make a thread better! Actually took this one on Sunday while doing some yard cleanup. Didn't feel like folding it back up and putting it in my pocket when picking up some sticks from under the tree. "Hanging out" sufficed  Resized_20200405_183646.j...

Re: Best Edge Performance Steel between these choices?

Anybody that selected Cruwear has clearly never used the other options. Rex45 has blown it out of the water in the 2 models I have Rex45, vs the 2 models I have Cruwear. I'll likely never buy another Cruwear blade, it's really not that special. Against these other steels in edge performance...it get...

Re: Has the Coronavirus affected your daily life?

Sure but I also worry that I am gonna get sent home from work because it is allergy season. I am afraid to cough or sniffle around the wrong person. Same here. I know of a few friends, myself included here that allergies kick our butts for a few weeks. We've all been here a long time now, but you n...
