Re: About that food prep ...

I just can't imagine eating anything with a knife I cut rubber, rope, cardboard, plastic, come in contact with nasty papermaking residue that comes in contact with who knows what chemicals to at times as well. Even giving one of my knives a cleaning and then using it with food just gives me a funny...

Re: Retire The PM2?

Please give reasons why you think the shaman thinned out is a bad idea The Shaman is just fine as it is. It's not even a chunky knife, it's just big. Contoured handles really help. I haven't heard too many complaints on the comfort of the handle. I also like the thicker blade stock, meant for some ...

Would it be appropriate to say "Ok Boomer" and roll eyes here?
Maybe I dont understand that term.
I'm only 37, so that wouldn't be relevant.

Re: Retire The PM2?

Both the PM2 and the Shaman have huge fan bases, why mess with them!? Yeah I'm going 10 years strong without buying one and it hasn't really effected me but I will admit I'm a little jealous of all the sprints and exclusives. If anything I might benefit from funneling production resources into othe...

Re: Remove Loctite from G10

This reminds me of the thread Vivi started the other day when trying to disassemble his Native Chief. What the heck is going on all the sudden with the crazy amounts of Loctite coming out of Golden!?

Re: What Spyderco is in your pocket today??

I love this knife and I bought all the variants so far but I have to agree with you... it is quite overlooked. I get it, the cutout for the button lock is definitely irritating when it becomes a snag point (experienced that a couple times already today) But besides that, it's a pretty good design. ...

I feel like nobody really likes this knife anymore, I still find it unique and fun to fiddle around with. Button lock is something fun and different!

Yea, that was painful to read. Yikes! Safe to say I'd stop food prep with that knife though. That's a great cheese for not being some super fancy stuff too :)

Re: Show Your Patina!

https://i.postimg.cc/BbvKchj4/20200624-134030.jpg I like. I have the Ladybug version. Haven't had it long enough for any patina to form. Would love that Dragonfly. Thanks! That was very easily done. Vinegar soaked paper towel for about 3 hours. That patina line does look a little darker in that pho...
