Re: Uk Penknife Maxamet?

Why is there a different length spring/backspacer for the G10 vs the FRN? I'm sure its been discussed but I'm new to this. Thanks in advance, CG Having browsed the web it appears that there is a shorter length piece that is not split at the end in the older frn models, a shorter length piece that is...

Re: G10 UKPK officially makes a return! Heinnie Haynes Exclusive

How is the balance on the G10 model vs that of the FRN? Seems like the weight would be shifting some to the rear with the full length back spacer. Do the G10 scales weigh any more than the FRN scales? CG One of my frn UKPK's weighs in at 1.7oz vs. 2.2oz on the g10 exclusive. So half an ounce diff. ...

All sounds good. Add Cru-Wear to the list as well.

Re: G10 UKPK officially makes a return! Heinnie Haynes Exclusive

if ordering outside of the U.K. be sure to remind them somewhere in your order so they don’t charge you the extra tax. I’ve got good intel from a U.K. group that this was an 800 knife run and there are a little over 100 left. It doesn’t sound like there will be another run of these soon if ever. Fo...

Re: Your Spyderco Drawer - Show & Tell

Here's most of my drawers! :) My small clip less knives. These are carried daily as I am in slacks at work. DF2 is my favorite. But I do enjoy the others greatly as well, particularly the Chaparral. http://i.imgur.com/67elP3z.jpg Medium knives, Delicas and Calys (mostly). Delicas were my first Spyd...

Knife drawer in my toolbox. Trying to control knife impulses and the need to buy a workbench with wider drawers. 00100dPORTRAIT_00100_BURST20190418164636427_COVER.png Ahhh ... the upper drawers of a tool chest ... great idea ... why didn't I think of that! Re: Your Spyderco Drawer - Show & Tell

Really kicking myself for not picking up that pink zome delica. Me too. It was sitting in my BHQ wishlist while I was shopping for the other kids’ knives. My two oldest picked the pink zome and the teal, both of which at the time I didn’t realize were limited runs. C’est la vie! Picked it up for my...

Re: Your Spyderco Drawer - Show & Tell

I though about doing the drawers separately, but I figured I'd try at getting everything in a single shot. It really doesn't do the knives any justice and the lighting is terrible, but at least I got it in one frame :o https://i.imgur.com/cDCuGQK.jpg If anyone is interested, I could try and make so...

Re: CTS-BD1N Where does it fit in?

I'm surprised you're looking forward to BD1N after having written off S30V and S35VN. It's impossible to really say how it will perform exactly, without knowing how hard they're running it. That makes all the difference. But don't count on it out-cutting S30V. Why would you assume that? What does t...

Re: Will the Para 3 LW come in colors and BD1N?

Nice! I've been wanting one of those. Did you get that directly from Spyderco, or other vendor? Thx. BD1N is available on the UK Penknife in leaf and drop point blade shapes with black frn handle; and is a less costly alternative to the para 3 LW if it will work for you. It is the direction I recen...

It is the direction I recently went as I wasn't aware of it before. I'll likely be able to pass on the para 3 lw as I am now gett...

Re: Linerless G10 Native 5 over FRN N5?

It comes down to personal preference and you just may like the FRN better/best. I'm that way with the Delica. But is always ok to explore gear to find what works for you. Maybe you could find one retail or elsewhere to hold first, then you will know; or a retailer with a workable return policy. Me a...
