Mostly legal reasons for me.
But I do love the simplicity and convenience and especially how Spyderco have done them with great steels, great designs and one handed opening.

Re: Future plans for the UKPK?

So I finally got the FRN lightweight Urban and have realised it's exactly what I want from the UKPK! What I lo...

Re: First Spyderco

The older G10 model UKPK & Urbans were quite colourful. The Pingo & Roadie came in different colours too.

Re: First Spyderco

UKPK or Urban are fantastic.
The S110V UKPK with blue scales is amazing.
Cuscadi do nice custom scales.

The split back springs on the UKPK’s are perfectly balanced, in my opinion.

I concur. It's very satisfying to me to open and close my UKPK.
I agree, it opens and closes perfectly.
It's more an aesthetic thing of it stopping half way. Think the urban looks better for the full length spine.

Re: Future plans for the UKPK?

Full length back spine with non-tuning fork style spring to continue the Squeak & Urban theme. Return of G10 would be nice. Not too bothered about exotic steels as long as the price doesn't go mad. A whole new shape UKPK like a slippy Native would be great. Whatever you end up doing just keep it...
