Re: New Chicago CTS-BD1N (some good, some bad)
I bought a used Chicago to throw in my pocket when I have to go to, well, Chicago. Mine requires a full opening motion with the thumb to lock in place and can't be flicked or flipped open even once the detent is broken. It's not gritty at all so I assume it's working as intended. I imagine the beefy...

Re: UKPK Serrated Salt
I just got the serrated version to go with my plain edge. The PE hasn't left my pocket since it arrived as it's the perfect summer knife. I've never had a SpyderEdge knife before so I'm going to carry it for a bit to see how it performs on regular, day to day, tasks. I'm planning to make it a perman...

Re: UKPK Salt availability ?
Got my PE in yesterday. As my first UKPK it's already making me rethink whether or not the Urban really is my favorite lightweight carry. Really stellar knife and I'm already enjoying the worry-free carry it provides in all the rain and humidity.

Re: UKPK Salt availability ?
I was planning on this being my summer knife so I'm glad it's squeaking in under the wire. Grabbed the plain edge and might nab a serrated as well depending on how it feels in the hand.

Re: Heinnie Haynes G10 S90v Urban
I got my HH Urban yesterday and am very happy with it. Like I said in a previous post this is my fourth Urban so I'm used to the little idiosyncrasies that come with this model. Yes, the blade is shorter than the others but it doesn't bother me. It also arrived less than razor sharp but a few swipes...

Re: Heinnie Haynes G10 S90v Urban
Well thanks to this thread I'll soon have another Urban to add to the collection. A bit steep since I'm spoiled by the FRN models usually falling in the $60-80 range but for S90V and dark red G10 I'll bite the bullet.

Re: Oh no, what's this on my new Urban backspring?
The Urban is one of my favorite Spyderco designs but each of the three I own have little nitpicky issues. Since they continue to offer interesting steels at a great price I just overlook the tiny flaws and enjoy that unique Italian character.

Re: Cru-wear Dragonfly with OD FRN Scales @ DLT
I was going to pass as well but the combination of some DLT Rewards credit, great price, my favorite steel, and favorite Spyderco model won me over. Not sure how I'll shoehorn another DF2 into the rotation but I'll manage somehow.

Re: Runners and knives
When I first read this thread last month I figured I should start carrying a small knife while running but quickly forgot all about it. Fast forward to today when I came upon a red-winged blackbird trapped in the degraded landscape fabric surrounding the new construction behind my neighborhood -- es...

Re: What scale color for the upcoming MagnaCut sprint?
I am keen to see any of the blue, orange, or yellows displayed in Larrins' MagnaCut Poster worked into the first scale design. Exactly. Since the promo materials are inspired by early 60s graphic design then tying in the scale color to that era would be pretty neat. Get that Howard Johnson's color ...

Re: Newest Teal Exclusive....Para3 LW
I ordered one since I never got around to getting a regular Para3 in S90V and I really like that steel. Color is fine with me and should be a good summer carry. I never wear bright colored clothing but I do like to have some color on my knives for some odd reason.

Re: DLT Kapara Exclusive!
I've been holding off on the Kapara in the hopes of some sprint runs. If Spyderco had a custom shop this is the exact configuration I would've chosen -- solid materials and the red on gray color scheme is spot on.

Re: Wharncliffe Para Military 2 CUTLERY SHOPPE EXCLUSIVE
It looks awesome but I'm kind of bummed it's not in the typical Cutlery Shoppe orange -- not that I can't remedy that easily enough.

Re: Has K390 "obsoleted" M4/REX45/HAP40?
Same. Maybe it's the relative scarcity of Super Blue models that makes it still seem special but I'll never give up my SB Caly Jr. K390 is awesome in its own right but it hasn't quite replaced SB and Rex45 for me.The Meat man wrote: ↑Fri Feb 19, 2021 3:30 pmI would like to see more Super Blue. Re: Reveal 7 Live!
So much LC200N and lots of Wharncliffes. Looks like they read my mind. I'm in for at least three from this batch -- K390 DF2 Wharnie, Salt 2 Wharnie, and the UKPK Salt. Just have to decide which Salt to get serrated.

Dragonfly in ZDP-189. My longest owned Spyderco and even the K390 model won't completely kick it to the curb.

I got #1044 from Canada a couple of weeks ago so the tail end numbers are out there somewhere.
