Ok, as I´ve said already: I prefer the Endura platform...

BUT: Not that the Endura / Pac Salt don´t look good to me (they do) and despite I guess I am more of a function-over-form-guy generally:
But man, the Chief LW looks extremely cool, especially in that black on black... I definitely do need one in SE eventually, also, but of course not only for the looks... :cheap-sunglasses
Top three going by pocket-time (update March 24):
- EDC: Endura thin red line ffg combo edge (VG10); Wayne Goddard PE (4V), Endela SE (VG10)
-Mountains/outdoors: Pac.Salt 1 SE (H1), Salt 2 SE (LC200N), and also Wayne Goddard PE (4V)

I'd at least wait until after the sales are over. Just in case one pops up and is on sale. Unlikely, but there's a chance. If one does go on sale, you'll have your sign.

So we visited a local knife store today and while there the FedEx guy showed up with some blacked out versions of the NCLW and WOW!!! If I hadn’t just checked out and blown my budget I’d be flicking one right now 😳

This caught my attention! Please tell me how the Endura is 'more' functional than the Nat Chief? Maybe that's not what you're saying--can't tell?

This was not at all what I was trying to say indeed - probably should have worded it differently:

- I DON`T think that the Endura is "more functional" than the Native Chief and this was not my point at all.
(sidenote: To me personally it might be slightly (even more functional), but to many the Chief will be for good reasons. Depends on personal preferences. But again, this was not what I wanted to state or discuss)

- What I was trying to say is only that
1.) I like the looks of the Endura but that
2.) I am generally more a function over form guy, so looks don´t matter too much to me, but still
3) Completely unrelated to how functional it certainly is the LOOKS of the Native Chief are so good that these looks still are one of several reasons I´ll have to get one (that´s why I said (quote) "I do need one [Chief LW], also, but of course not only for the looks]

I one likes a good choil, a more precise tip, a slightly slimmer carry, a longer blade, a backlock with less lock rock, the Chief will be more "functional" or at least the better choice over the Endura, no doubt.

Edit: My bad, I thought you got one.

^ That's a beauty. When I look at it, I see two of them becoming the horns in Vivi's avatar.

I think Vivi should purchase two of them!

I am curious to see some comparison pictures of the lightweight chief next to similar sized spydies like the endura, mili, Caribbean etc.
Just one more knife...

While my Chief is not LW, this is a comparison I can make of similar sized knives to those mentioned: Chief, Stretch 2 XL, Endura, Caribbean, PM2

Just got mine today. I am wowed by how solid/rigid this FRN knife is and how great the fit and finish is. I’ve always liked FRN and have had many models in it, but I think this is the highest level FRN product Spyderco has produced. Also love how weightless it is in my sweatpants
