Re: Show off your latest purchase
I would, but I do not have it anymore. Lasted 2 weeks. I got a UKPK to take on vacation to Britain. Made it to London no problem. We had a flight to Scotland planned midweek, and on the day we went, I forgot I had the new knife in my pocket. As we were walking to security, I remembered it. I did not have time to walk the 3/4 mi back to parking, nor to go back to wherever to fill out the paperwork to mail it home. There were a couple of British soldiers on duty at the Luton airport, I explained what I did and gave it to them. Hope one them get use of it, just put a mirror edge on it and never cut anything other than a few sheets of paper. Oh well...

Took a bit of a gamble with this model as it's larger than my general preference. But the Endura crossed my path and my curiosity won as I wanted a K390 blade and something that can take a beating. The wharncliffe blade is a slicing beast! I have larger hands and there is more than enough handle length, it's the shape of the handle that isn't compatible with my hands My index and middle finger are squized when placing them in the part behind the guard. Shame as I really love this blade.

Next mail call today is the Spymyto. I'm a sucker for green micarta so that's already a plus. The micarta and Ti scales are well done however, not a fan of the milling pattern on the Ti. Nice crowned blade but imo verry disappointing it's not a hollow grind but a beefy flat grind. Action and detent are surprisingly fine. The flipper tab can be removed which imo is an improvememt of the aesthetics.
I did get a very cool serial nr 0666/1000

Moran Drop Point. It would be cool if this came out as a Cruwear exclusive or sprint run.

Hey Paul, I have the same complaint about the Delica and the Endela. I'm not sure if you know, but fortunately it is easy to file down that annoying nub in the middle of the handle with basic hand tools like a file and sandpaper.Paul Ardbeg wrote: ↑Tue May 28, 2024 3:55 amTook a bit of a gamble with this model as it's larger than my general preference. I did the same for the three K390s below.

Seeing how yours turned out I gave it a go. Did not take much to remove the nub. Just need to smoothen the surface now. What a hugh difference it makes!!Brock O Lee wrote: ↑Thu Jun 13, 2024 4:24 amHey Paul, I have the same complaint about the Delica and the Endela.
