Think I am boycotting Knife Center
Knife Center just sent me an email titled The Best Frame Lock Knives at Knife Center. They did not include even 1 Spyderco, Ya know what I don't like that, not one little but. Hrrrummph
https://www.knifecenter.com/listing/the ... f339dff1c0
My guess is they are trying to get rid of other brands that do not sell as well but for goodness sake you can't leave Spyderco out why that is just, Sputter, Sputter "Impossible" Dang Nabit!

Re: Think I am boycotting Knife Center
Spyderco isn't a framelock company unfortunately. You probably already own the best one they ever made. They have no problem selling spydies, they're doing what's best for their business.
Re: Think I am boycotting Knife Center
Exactly. Nothing to get all huffy puffy about. A major reason I prefer Spyderco to most, is I like the various locking mechanisms they have on their knives and not specializing in one in particular.

Are you referring to the Mantra, Advocate, or Sage 2? :)
Of all the things I've lost I miss my mind the most!
Re: Think I am boycotting Knife Center
Spyderco is not mostly exlcusive to one type of lock like some companies and Spyderco is mostly known for its Compression Lock and Back Lock.
Current Spyderco production folders (excludes discontinued and upcoming ones) with frame locks:

Or the Spydiechef, the CF TI Military or the Lionspy? Methinks Spyderco is the king of the Frame Locks. :) These are just the ones I own.
Just having some fun guys can't blame a company for needing to push inventory that does not move as well as Spyderco. It just struck me as funny and decided to poke some fun. Nothing really serious intended.

I meant the McBee of course. What? They aren't being advertised as the perfect edc? Nick Shabazz would label anything larger a "weapon of war". Tactical nail clippers ftw.

Teeny knives, aren't they ? And, what's the point of a frame-lock knife without a hump ?
Knifecenter itself shows 13 Spyderco frame-locks (including the 2019 catalogue):
Spyderco Cricket Plain
Spyderco Cricket Serrated
Spyderco Dmitry Sinkevich Drunken
Spyderco Domino Red Weave
Spyderco Domino Blue Weave
Spyderco Gayle Bradley Advocate
Spyderco Jerry Brouwer
Spyderco Jonathan McNees McBee
Spyderco Mantra 2
Spyderco Marcin Slysz SpydieChef
Spyderco Marcin Slysz Techno 2
Spyderco Rassenti Paysan
Spyderco Tusk Marlin Spike
And my all-time favorite frame-locks, the Ti Millitary and K2 - as discontinued - are not even included.
You're right a boycott is in order !
Roland.

Sorry to highjack the thread but that original post hit two of my hot buttons.
Someone who labels sonething as a weapon (of war) and the other is labelling something as ‘tactical’ lol. Want to sell something, stick tactical in front of it!

I thought spyderco did R.I.L’s. As a nod to the creator of frame locks. I know it’s just semantics, just saying.
Also aren’t the PPT and Subvert considered RIL’s too?

Re: Think I am boycotting Knife Center
It's all based on Knifecenter (not Spyderco) semantics that only differentiate frame-locks and liner-locks.DirtMcGirt wrote: ↑Tue Feb 05, 2019 3:34 pmI thought spyderco did R.I.L’s. As a nod to the creator of frame locks. I know it’s just semantics, just saying.

Re: Think I am boycotting Knife Center
Domino is tops. Chubby is pretty good too.
Re: Think I am boycotting Knife Center
I agree. And Spyderco must not want to have that discussion either, because you can’t filter by lock type at the web store.ferider wrote: ↑Tue Feb 05, 2019 3:57 pmIt's all based on Knifecenter (not Spyderco) semantics that only differentiate frame-locks and liner-locks.DirtMcGirt wrote: ↑Tue Feb 05, 2019 3:34 pmI thought spyderco did R.I.L’s.
