When you feel like children are taking days from your life just remember, they add them back with interest in the end. :)
Can you find it and can it cut?

Say hello to my little miracle- (Demoncase Junior) Georgina May Lopez

Every parent rightly feels their child is a miracle and special- but Georgina is our miracle because:
- We have been together 17 years, married for 14- and I'm a 1st time Dad at 40
- My lady wife was told at 20 years ago she would never, ever, be able to have children. She told me on our second date

- Together we have fought through PCOS and Endometriosis and the dozen surgeries required to give her quality of life (And major brain surgery in me 10 years ago, but that's not relevant here). I held her hand through every step. She held my hand through ever step.

- After her last op we were told that actually there was a faint chance of conceiving.
- We tried for several years with no joy- and were told that we were out of the age range for IVF on the NHS
- We stopped trying.

- Then last year, my wife fell pregnant and we were overjoyed.
- 6 weeks after we found this wonderful news, we had a miscarriage. As you can imagine, we were both utterly crushed. It was heartbreaking.

- By pure chance, 9 months ago someone up there decided to grant us a real miracle......and here she is.

Here she is, in her mom's arms, but 10 minutes old.

The way this felt (and feels) to me is beyond words.

Never give up hope. Never. Even when it feels like hope has given up on you. :)

I am the proudest man alive and I don't care who knows-

Kind regards: Jonathan Lopez (aka Demoncase, of this parish) ;)
Congratulations ! My wife tells me stories like yours from time to time (NICU/Nursery specialist RN) ....shows there's always hope.

Was diagnosed with a rare/deadly form of Melanoma 12 years ago when I was 38! My kids were 14 and 10, my family was flourishing! Long story short ...we've been through **** and back (cancer still ongoing ) but I've never given up HOPE and my wife and I just had our first grandchild in June of last year.

Life is special!

Congrats again and enjoy that bundle of joy!

Congratulations!

Ahh, the joys of parenthood, unbounded by time.

You and the family are indeed blessed, not only for the unexpected outcome to the fertility travails, but also for your major brain surgery success--which is indeed relevant, or where would you be?

Best wishes to you all.

Positive thoughts to you too, James, with your melanoma battle. Stay optimistic, with ongoing immunotherapy advances. Congrats on the grandchild!

Awesome! I've been married 3 years, with my wife for 18, and we didn't want to have kids. 2 years ago we decided it was now or never, and in 3 weeks we were expecting! My wife also has pcos and was told she would probably never get pregnant. Now we have a healthy, happy, cantankerous 2 year old little man and couldn't be happier!

I never thought I'd be so happy to be responsible for raising a little me. He looks more like his mom though haha!

Congratulations! Being a parent is exhilarating, frustrating, tiring, and maddening! But seeing their faces light up at new experiences, or simple things that make them happy is the best feeling in the world. Enjoy it!

BTW, I was 36 when I became a dad, so it's never too late!
