Would anyone know who a GBC Q would have been built for?

Thanks

Chris

Hi Jeff,
I've heard of the Cabelas but I've not seen one or a picture of one. I've actually been accumulating photos when I locate one(many from e-bay). I have pictures of 17 variations and one collection photo that actually has 17 in one picture.
I wonder if it's possible to find all 50 (an estimate)?

Haven't seen the GBC Q
Butt here is a pic of the Cabela model (not mine)

Interesting, I just noticed that it is about 40/60 part serrated.

Hey Boxer93-
Let me know what p[ics you have and what you are looking for. Have about 30 different Q's. Be glad to help you with the pics. Might even be able to help you with some of the pics of Q's I don't have.

chinook, thanks for the Cabelas pic. Yes I've found that co made many variations of the blade. I actually like the sheepfoot design. I even carried my WMO Q around for quite a while.
jyork, can you read work documents? If so I can email you my doc and you can see what I've accumulated. I'll actually be camping with the scouts tomorrow for a week so I may not reply until then.
Thanks for all your help so far. I'm actually hoping to document as much of the Q line as possible.

GBC was/is a laser vendor for Spyderco. They special ordered an exclusive batch of GBC "Q"s for their business and employees.

Specialty "Q"s ordered from us were always exclusive, meaning Spyderco did not sell them to anyone but the company placing the order. Boxer93, this means your "Q" originally came from GBC.

Thanks Joyce and java. I'll try attaching the photo from ebay. It's definitely a more unique one. Joyce, is there anyway to find out how many were made.
Thanks

Thanks Joyce. How about another ?. Did co have a minimum qty. they imposed when building Q's or just whatever the customer wanted as long as the tooling costs were covered?
