Re: Delica 4 in 2024?
So, uh, 15v delica while we wait for your collab to come out? Spyderco should come out with the "knife nerds set" - like 3-4 different models in specific steels that are optimized for the design and grind. The delica is a legend, and this is coming from someone who started with a Calypso J...

Re: I don't give a #@$! about stainless
Stainless is great when you get soaked outside in the rain and you still keep working. Also great when you're cutting something moist and don't have to immediately look for something to dry your knife off with.

I know sal said "never again" - but I'd love another laminated HAP40 run of these, or even the fixed blade

Both bigbrownbear's and outdoor55's manix are pretty much wharncliffe after all the testing they've done for their YouTube channels

The handle on the CF/G10 stock GB2 handle has a bit of a contour to it, right? Are the ones in the exclusive just flat?

Re: Will they ever have full Superblue again?
Spyderco offering super blue was cool, but I rather have it in a kitchen knife (offered but lots of makers), because there's other less available steel I'd like them to use first (hap72, srs13)

Re: Community Sharpening Journal
I'll take needing to flatten for faster cutting, and constant exposure to fresh abrasive. All stones will need be flattened or dressed eventually.
The sintered Spyderco stones don't dish, but they're slow, and can burnish edges. I just use them to microbevel and burr removal

Re: Community Sharpening Journal
Shawn, for regular nerds, do you have a preference between the CATRA hobby goinometer vs the Griotomatic one? On a side note - is there still a reason to pick Norton India and Crystolon stones in 2023? Japanese water stones work "better" and come in more grits. Diamonds in all flavors work...

I wish they'd up the base steel to 9 or 10cr or a 13c26 variant.
Does the tenacious and polestar feel that different in hand? Visually, they look very similar.

I got one of the stitched water buffalo belts. Nice thick and sturdy leather, good stitching, less expensive than some others. USA/Amish made. They use some interesting leathers too.
