Hi Vivi, Probably yes. We always have used new steels on production knives as they are developed. We are pleased with the S90V pieces. You will probably see more of that in the future although nothing is planned right now for S90V except a Mule Team. We're working on a Gayle Bradley folde that will...

I would gladly pay for a S90V Caly 3 with a handle constructed like the Persians.

What Steel(s) Comes Next?

Sal, are there any new steels you plan to use in the next few years for regular production knives outside of the Mule project? Any plans to use S90V outside of the Military sprint run?

Problem is, whenever another knife gets carried, the UKPK is still the one I Reach for because it just works the best. Stretch 2 is very nice though, it's growing on me, but I still feel like the UKPK is the stronger design for my needs. Love the materials of the Stretch though. Maybe I should trade...

Another fan of 440V here. It cardboard cutting tests my 440V Military held it's own with a CPMD2 version. I found both steels (440V and CPMD2) very easy to get a good edge on in spite of their wear resistance. Wonderful edge holding.

Being able to survive with just a UKPK is exactly my problem. This knife carries better than any other full size knife I know of, is absurdly comfortable while cutting, offers an excellent grip for more precise, controlled cutting, has a wonderful wire clip etc. I also does everything I need a knife...

Tenacious Full Review

Well, I was working on writing this today and accidentally posted it before it was done. Still contains a nice chunk of information though. It's missing the most important part, the steel performance, because I'm still doing some last minute comparisons with CPMD2 and S30V on extended cardboard cutt...

I appreciate the responses. Some of the knives mentioned, like the Dragonfly and Salsa, I've owned at one point or another and decided they didn't work for me as well as others. The one knife I'm 100% positive I want to EDC is some sort of Caly, whether it's a ZDP/CF Caly 3 or FRN Calypso. For a lar...

That's where my line of thinking goes too. General cutting knife, heavy duty knife, and "Won't scare even the most Politically Correct person" knife. Now, I only need to decide this: To I buy a Foliage Green G10 UKPK and Endura, or... Do I buy a CF Caly 3 and CF / S90V Military? One of tho...

Why don't you take a week and switch off between the Caly3/Spin and Caly3/Dyad to get it hammered down? You have all 3 now, right? The Micro Dyad looks like a really cool knife. I'd like to see a picture of it in hand. Yep, all three are currently mine. I'm carrying the UKPK clipped to right front,...

I often carry the full sized Manix IWB and a UKPK clipped to my right front pocket. The UKPK is extremely ergonomic, light and precise...perfect for most EDC tasks. When I want something more robust, the Manix is more than adequate. I've been favoring small knives lately, but if theres ever a day wh...

As far as F&F goes I'd rank the knives like this:

3. Older G10 Cara Cara
2. G10 Flight
1. Tenacious

The Flight is very good here but the Tenacious shows slightly more polish and refinement.
