It's a handheld optical comparator. There's a screen inside that allows the user to measure distances and angles on surfaces. It's a cool little specialty tool, but not particularly useful when playing with knives.

Lynch clips come with screws. They should work unless the Dyad has threads that are different from what is standard now.

On the PITS I got one of the lock bares was bent and it rubbed on the blade. It didn't make the knife any harder to open or anything like that. I fixed it and I am really liking it.
