The Mantra 3. A perfect cross between a Para 3 and a Mule. I call it the Parule.

Re: Talking about your traditional knives

I'm surprised so many are so willing to buy sharpened pieces of steel for so much. How many of these things do you really need? I hear all this talk about steels and handle material but does this even matter? It all seems so out of control when we all know that owning a Para 3 achieves virtually eve...

Re: Spyderco 2019 Lists: Delivered & Upcoming

Congratulations to Spyderco for winning the Most Innovative American Design: Spyderco Para 3 Lightweight at the 2019 Blade Show. Was there ever a doubt? I mean it's a Para 3. Crux, come on man. You know they have to pretend that other knives have a chance. Don't think it's easy for me, but the fact...

SEF, Check out the wood database. Lots of interesting stuff. https://www.wood-database.com/
Excellent resource, I've been a supporter of the Wood Database project for sometime. I have a tremendous array of uncommons woods that were destined for guitar bodies and necks but are still in stock.

Re: Grid Down: EMP or Natural Event

Did I mention that ALL my knives have been upgraded to prevent any damage from EMPs? Also, EMP's would be a bad thing but I've been through worse. If you want to protect vital electronic stuff build a cheap Faraday cage. Order a bunch of thick BBQ grade aluminum foil, wrap it around or wrap from wi...

Superheroes

I will say up front that this is a Spyderco Forum inspired thread because before that I could have cared less. Like most here I've already seen a bunch "Superhero" movies (which is apparently a very analy specific genre) over the years, but as the inquisitive bastard I am I decided to try ...

Re: Grid Down: EMP or Natural Event

My cousin's friend works for a top executive of one of the top social media companies. Recently he was in a meeting where several key leaders expressed what was described to be much more that just a concern, but rather a key focus for not only the industry, but the world. Five long months into 2019...

Like I said, It's a solid pistol. Nothing to write home about but certainly does the job.

The Glock 17 is an okay gun. Nothing special. In the grand scheme it's a 5 out of 10.

Say what you will as I will not judge you

I sometimes try to bring humor into this forum and as a result I was screamed at and called a lunatic. After research it seems it was apparently from my wife, but sadly no one here came to my defense. Many think I'm a fool, obviously family and friends excluded, but I'm not and I found someone I don...

Re: The Memes Will Continue Until Maxamet Returns

Some experts say, that Maxamet probably won't be available in the US until early 2020 because of disruptions to the Maxamet mining industry caused by the unrest and civil war in many Maxamet rich countries as well as the counterfeit Maxamet that has flooded markets in the EU.

Crux, do you think an immortal knife collector could amass such a vast collection of knives it would be a true sight to behold? Is an attempt to out me? Lol, meaning? I already have a vast collection of knives that would be a true sight to behold, but I'm not immortal. If I was my collection would ...
