Re: Who's gonna get a Counter Puppy?
I am! :) I think I'm gonna go for a blue serrated one. And you? Just ordered a purple SE and blue PE! My girlfriend doesn't share my passion for cutlery is a normal human being and so these will be perfect for the dishwasher and knife drawer. (We have two sets of knives at our place, one in a drawe...

Re: Hope for the Caly 3.5?
I think the Caly 3.5 was one of my better designs and doesn't need a lot of design improvement, in my opinion. Much of limitations are the result of the maker so exotic steels not made in Japan, screw construction and higher numbers are what prompted us to move the FRN to Taichung. This would permi...

Re: Caly 3/3.5 interest Poll
I'm definitely in. The Caly is a classic design. Polished micarta, black or ivory, reminds me of the original Calypso, which is a great throwback.
My preference would be an ivory 3.5 in LC200N or K390.

Re: Caribbean Scales: Love, or Hate?
Ahem, I love the Caribbean scales, the bumblebee colour didn't really fit my needs though. Bought one after Evil D reminded me that it's easy enough to change the colour. https://i.imgur.com/wnzcb2S.jpg Yours and Evil's look awesome. I've been avoiding the Caribbean solely because the colors are to...

Caribbean Scales: Love, or Hate?
Cilantro. Crocs. The Dallas Cowboys. French fries and mayo. Boondock Saints. The Caribbean's scales.
Either you love them, or you hate them -- there is no middle ground. Which is it?!

Re: October and Rex45
Rextober is the best. Stunning! That patina just from normal use or from certain objects? Butter and steak! Not sure which specifically lends the blue. I take a salted strip steak and flash fry it medium rare in a pan with half a tablespoon of butter and that's the effect it has on both Rex45 and K...

Same, PM2 here. The burnt orange fits the mood for sure.
Count me in for both: more rex, and more orange!

(Camel?) bone! I fell in love with these after seeing a post about them somewhere. For posterity: https://cuscadi.de/spyderco-para-military-2-bone/ A smooth, ivory Micarta, wire clip LW PM2 would be 10/10. I'll keep dreaming because I'm sure exactly zero other people feel the same way. http://u.cube...

Re: Removing this bastard lanyard tube?
Seriously they should change the official parts name to the bastard lanyard tube The thread title and this comment both made me laugh. #BLT I've used a wooden dowel to break it free and I put it (smashed it?) back together with a hammer and a microfiber cloth wrapped around the knife. Not my finest...

Re: Upsized Sage?
The Super leaf or the Mannix 2 are pretty close. Great suggestions with the Superleaf and Manix. Here's what I'd like in a larger (really, longer) Sage over either of those two knives, which, spoiler alert, has a lot to do with food prep: Thinner stock for slicing (2.5mm-3mm; Superleaf is 4mm) RIL,...

Re: Upsized Sage?
Is it time for the Sage to have a BIg Brother? I'd love to see a 3.5" - 4" Sage. It's one of my favorite models but I don't carry it as often as I would were it a little larger. It's a great not-so-tactical knife for social situations where a PM2 & friends might get some looks. I usua...
