Re: Change in Sharpmaker packaged stones

Welcome to the forum Rockdog. It sounds like you found out exactly why Tdog started this thread. I have the diamond rods and as I said earlier in this thread, they are a game changer and know they help immensely. I can only speak for the diamond rods but from what I've read there is very little diff...

He (Boomer52) just posted yesterday over on BF/Spyderco. Sounds like the heat was doing a number on him and his equipment.

Thanks....it's an MXG Gear clip, I have four of them so I must like them. I was tossing around the idea of picking up an Endura also but I think i'm going to hold off.

Re: Caly Hap40 Sprint in Forest Green

I had one on pre-order for a couple months but with the announcement of the release of the fluted CF Native and the surprise release and subsequent purchase of the Pakkawood HAP40 Delica I canceled it. Besides, I already have a Caly 3 in ZDP-189 and I’m alright with that.

Re: Pakka Delica questions

Mine has a slight gap between one scale and the lockbar which bothers me none. The lamination lines are pretty even on both sides. It's sharp as heck. The wood grain is very nice. Overall I am very happy! Mine also came with a slight gap at the lockbar. I was able to tighten the lockbar pivot screw...

Re: Change in Sharpmaker packaged stones

There definitely needs to be a 205 Sharpmaker with diamond and brown rods. The first time I pulled a bunch of old kitchen knives out of the drawer for a test run on the Sharpmaker with the brown and white rod it was nothing more than an exercise in futility. If it wasn’t for the folks on this forum ...

Well, I'm no longer sad that I missed the orange HAP40 Delica. Sigh. *opens wallet* My thoughts precisely :D Will we get a disassembly and review video of it? Compare it to your grey Delica? :p ;) That makes three of us. I'd rather have the wannabe wood version anyway so one Delica is on it's way t...

Re: Recommend a Classy EDC Spydie

I just hope the one you get is better than the Ti/Dam Delica I received. The scales were so far out of parallel that the blade tang scuffed the scales every time I opened or closed it. I've been playing around with different washers and haven't given up on it yet. Guess i'm just spoiled by Taichung ...

I'd go with TBDs first suggestion...the Chaparral. The Chap just works so much better in my hand than the Dragonfly.

Thanks, works now. I see what you mean about the junction at the top of the handle and spine but it looks great otherwise. I've been very temped to pick up one of the lc200n mules to play around with.

Re: Poll: Flippers

I was pretty excited about the design of the Mantra when I saw it in the catalog but a little disappointed when I saw that it was just 4mm bigger than a Delica and was not as easy to close one-handed with the left hand as a my fluted Ti Millie and linerlock knives like the millie, tenacious, etc, w...

If you get a Chaparral you can save the clip for another knife later on.
