Boring answer, but Atlantic Salt In SE H1 and yellow frn scale.
Its just my perfect work knife. Easy to find handle, feels great in hand shackle key gets plenty of use and a steel that never lets me down. Also in, what is in my opinion, its best edge style.

Re: Acetone on coated hardware?
For science! https://imagizer.imageshack.com/img923/6301/Iwl8Nz.jpg Seems fine to me. Brushed some on and no bleed on the qtip. Honestly though though this was my only knife where the pivot coating wasnt totally worn off from just usage. Wouldnt stress it too much acetone or not, itll wear off event...

Re: Any Double Bladed Desires?
Id like to see it. I carry a PE and SE eveeyday for work anyway. 1 tool would make my pockets lighter. Maybe too big of a wish but id love to just see a whole rigging/ sailing tool. PE with some sort of pointy tip, some sort of blunt tip SE, and a marlin spike. Basically the tusk with an extra blade...

Re: Spyderco Photo of the Week Contest!
Well this was the toughest judging ive done yet. Well done everyone, each picture had a case to be #1, but i had to it down. In first place is barnaclesonaboat and his monochome shot. Its really a tasteful picture and striking even without really any color. Well done https://i.postimg.cc/FRVCVyxz/IM...

Re: Spyderco Photo of the Week Contest!
Congratulations @Windward and thank you @JSumm, yeah Jeff it’s definitely bittersweet to be the judge especially when there are a lot of good photos like this past week but it’s kinda like watching the Voice…somebody has to win even though in reality there were multiple winners…great job now go tak...

Re: My on going salt steel comparison journal
Thank you to all for your accurate descriptions of these great tools and your experience(s) with them. My own experience with Spyderco has been limited to a rotating field of H1 Atlantic Salts, and until quite recently an addition to my quiver with the H2 variety. For over 25 years I've worked as a...

I use spotify and tidal. Spotify mostly just driving around and at work, because most of my podcasts are there, and a massive music catalog. If im at home, tidal. Sound quality is just a fair amount better, through my speakers

Re: My on going salt steel comparison journal
Great thread windward, super fun to read and learn from. I was interested in understanding more about your opinion of LC200N vs. H1/2 in SE. Is the key difference that you've found H1 cuts longer in SE, setting it apart as the better steel? Or is it that plus the small amount of rust you found once...

Re: My on going salt steel comparison journal
It's mooring building season here, so ive had plenty of time to really put the knives through some nasty stuff. We had a bunch of mooring gear that someone else built to swap out, so a lot of cutting up of old stuff was in order, for recycling.... The test media, barnacle crusted, sand, salt, mud in...

Re: Spyderco Photo of the Week Contest!
Not as "glamorous" as my usual photos, but something a little more realistic this week. did you lose a screw and tape your knife together? Haha, no, its for splicing. I usually keep a bunch of wraps on there to tape ends to splice rope throughout the day. This was juat thw end of the day,...

Re: Spyderco Amsterdam Meet 2024 Report
Thanks for sharing mr. Blonde. Cool stuff
Im finding myself really wanting that microjimbo in 15v, and i've honestly never had much intetest in 15v before. ( have always respected how awesome of a steel it is, but just "wasn't" for me)
