Re: Endela (-sized "middle ground" knife) in the "Pac Salt family"?!
Thanks for the reply. Verry helpful. I've searched and read mixed results when comparing the performance of SE LC200N and H1/H2. I think I'll just have to buy one of each and compare. Who knows, maybe a magnacut option will be available and I'll have three to compare. Basically I want a 3-3.5 inch ...

Re: Endela (-sized "middle ground" knife) in the "Pac Salt family"?!
It would also be great if an Endela Salt's blade shape is kept exactly the same as the regular Endela's; meaning, the tip is NOT made any more rounded in the same way that the tips on the Salt 1 & 2, and the Pac Salt were changed and sheepsfooted from the Delica's and the Endura's original tip ...

Re: Which spyderco is in the mail?
I have some camping and fishing weekends coming up. I ordered a SE Pac Salt 2 to see how I like it. I've always carried a Native 5 and recently fell in love with the Endela.
I've only heard good things about the Pac Salt 2, so I ordered one.

Throw my vote in for some Endela Salts. It would quickly become my fly fishing/camping/backpacking folder.

Re: Spyderco Models We Need In FULL SE
I'd like to see the Manix 2 LW and Military 2 in full SE. I spent last weekend camping. I was sitting and thinking about what a great camping/backpacking folder would be. I have a fixed blade outdoor knife, it needs a folding companion. I had my SE Magnacut Native 5 and found myself wanting somethi...

I took a risk and sent my Sage 5 off to have serrations added. I love it.

Re: Triangle rods vs new Profile Stones as travel sharpeners
I rarely need to sharpen on the go, but when I do it is normally for plain edges. I then carry DMT Diafolds (C & F), and a short round ceramic rod. I like the Profile stones as freehand stones in the sharpening arsenal. I bought the originals before they were discontinued many years ago. They a...

Not alone. I'd love something in that size. A "Native Scout" would be an awesome addition. I'd grab a lightweight version without much hesitation.

Re: Triangle rods vs new Profile Stones as travel sharpeners
Sharpmaker rods are great on their own. Easy to carry, nice for a quick touch up in the woods whether you have a PE or SE blade. I have a random brown and white rod right at my desk at work in case I feel the need to touch up or have a friends knife at work that might need a little love. This is my...

Re: Triangle rods vs new Profile Stones as travel sharpeners
I use the Worksharp Guided Field Sharpener. It is diamond (coarse/fine), ceramic rod for SE, leather strop and guides to give you a rough angle. https://www.worksharptools.com/shop/benchtop/manual/guided-field-sharpener/ IMG_5626.jpeg I have one as well and generally enjoy it. I wish the rod intend...

Triangle rods vs new Profile Stones as travel sharpeners
I am looking for options for backpacking/camping/travel sharpeners. There are foldable options, mini systems, stone pouches, and a plethora of other options out there that I have been looking at. Today, I throw a brown or cbn rod in my pack. The angle doesn't need to be exact because we are talking ...

I agree with Peruna. Good materials, good fit and finish, but don't expect a quick turn around. It took several months for my order to arrive. I'll do business with them again.

Re: High carbide/hardness serrations??
There seems to be a lot of serration posts lately. All of them are good reads. I am also new to serrated blades as well as K390. I have a SE Native 5 in Magnacut, a SE Para 3 in S45VN, and a SE Endela in K390. I can't speak to the question about H1/H2 but i have read nothing but great reviews from u...

Re: Spyderco Models We Need In FULL SE
So, what is the best way to go about adding serrations to a PE knife? I look at my Sage 5 LW. I would LOVE to own and carry a SE version. I've looked at videos of people who add serrations to knives as they make them. None of what I have found are able to replicate a pattern similar to Spyderco's, a...
