When you can't sharpen the knife yourself. And you ruin the blade to the point where you have to send it to Spyderco to fix.

They will grind it down sufficiently to get a good edge.

Use the knife properly and learn how to sharpen it yourself.

And that is also why Spyderco sells UK Penknives with no locks called "slipits". Blade length 2.98 inches.

And it's not worth carrying or taking anything that doesn't meet those low standards.

UK knife law allows you to carry non-locking pocket knives with a blade length up to 3 inches (7.62 cm) without any need for a valid reason.

The Nirvana is a much nicer model.

I bought mine back in 2016 for $432.

I didn't like the Paysan when introduced and didn't buy it. I still wouldn't buy it.

Spyderco website shows Paysan at MSRP $920. Knifecenter pre-order at $644.

Not worth it.

Whether they are "users" or "collectables", the boxes raise the value overall.

Even if you switch out your "users", you need a box to store them in.

If you look at Spyderco website under their "blade shapes", it is NOT A DROP POINT.

But is a Sheepsfoot blade.

Spyderco website states it as just "blue".

There is no differentiating it from the old "light" or new "navy".

So I assume the color shading is just part of the manufacturing process. And when you order it from a distributor you won't know if it's the old or new color.

Glidesourcing.com is another retail reseller on Amazon. They sell anything and everything for anybody and everybody. They are like Alibaba.com. I prefer to buy from Knife distributors who deal in knives who are specialized. You never know what you are getting from third and fourth party resellers ...

More cons and rip offs than legitimate sellers on the secondary market.

That is why you stick to the primary markets, it's safer.
