15V PM2 went fishing with me this afternoon. The wind was not ideal for fly fishing but I did get a few.

Native 5 Lightweight in SPY27 or a Salt version would be my suggestion.

Looks to be a C26 Snap-It.

Switching things up a bit today with my PM2 in CPM 15V blade steel. Been mostly carrying Sebenzas lately but gotta have a Spydie in the mix.

This one comes to mind, for me. PM2 is a great knife and 15V is one of my favorite steels. Top favorite for edge performance for my usage. I tried serrations for hunting and personally didn't like them. But I also don't like serrations in general.

A fixed blade with glued scales that are not porous/absorbent is probably the easiest to keep clean, assuming the sheath is also easily cleaned (kydex or other plastic that are washable without ruining the sheath). Stainless knives that are easily washed without issue are also good... I do like fold...

Got out for a ride today. UKPK Salt is a great cycling knife, super light and worry free in a cycling jersey pocket.

Fascinating stuff, Shawn. Thanks for the micrographs, those are really interesting to see! You pull no punches when it comes to big kitchen knives with the high carbide steels. That big 15V kitchen knife you made some time back still haunts my thoughts from time to time (in the best way).

April 15. It's the day taxes are due in the USA.

My first USA Spydie was an original mini Manix back lock... it's a fine knife but I prefer several other knives to it.

So, how would the edge angle affect the results? Say, 30º inclusive vs 20º inclusive? What was the angle of the edge being tested and how thin behind the edge was the blade? This one needed a sharpening a couple days ago, much better after that. Goes a long time between sessions with a stone!

Haven't carried my CruCarta PM2 for a long time, so today seemed like a good day to get it out.

Couldn't decide between the favorites, so it's both for today. This bleak black and white picture is my sad protest against being stuck inside for the day.

Definitely will have to get a G10 Para 3 with 15V. Was hoping that would happen, I do like the Para 3 as a sub 3 inch knife.

Very early for things to be growing here, but it is what it is. Nice weather for a 7 mile hike in the afternoon though.
